Highlights
Studying and observing ourselves is a way to get to know our own selves. This is precisely what Alejandro Montesino proposes. A disciple of Servando Cabrera, and a lover of the human body and the sensuality and exuberance which it emanates, Montesino questions, invites, suggests, and reflects by way of such great thinkers, who, far from being formal and indifferent, observe us to later turn us into absolute accomplices of his canvasses. An essential component also comes from our daily objects which, inanimate, become impregnated with the spirit and energy that surrounds – forming and becoming an essential part of us. His freedom and the spontaneity of his brushstrokes; the mastery and expressiveness of the gamut of colours, and the dynamism of his shapes, have placed him among the artists of preference on the international art market.
