Highlights

Nelson Domínguez Cedeño (1947, Baire, Santiago de Cuba) has become a faithful exponent of the intercultural mix that makes Cuban culture hybrid.Commonplace in his work is Afro-Cuban and Chinese iconography where blackened tones and gamut of dark colours gibe birth to sensual shapes and symbols that allude to divinities whose meanings have been altered.
Domínguez is one of the Cuban artists most interested in experimenting with different techniques such as engraving, ceramic, sculpture, installations, etc. The artist has made a name for himself in the history of Cuban fine arts as one of the most sought-after creators in the international art market.
