Highlights

Juan Vicente Bonachea (Havana City, 1957) has a solid professional artistic training as a painter as well as a children's books illustrator. In his work, Bonachea makes us witness "another reality", one where birds, fish, mythological beings and all kinds of winged beings, part beasts part humans, compose an astounding wholeness.
Under El Bosco’s influence, Bonachea uses predominantly shades of green, red and blue hues in his canvas, saturated with a subjectivity and a reasoning that have given him a place amongst the best Cuban artists on today’s international art market.
